"search-box reflection"
i spent three hours searching for a synonym
for staring
[ clear screen ]
and found only my reflection on the dark glass.

Some time it takes time to realize ...............what was I saying? Oh yes to realize. Good one Cryptic some words have no synonym and for some things there are no words.
Exactly. And the digital world isn't always foolproof help if any at all. Thanks, Soren πποΈ
Digital indeed that brings to mind when music went from vinal to digital and so much was lost in quality that now it seems no one cares about.
Don't believe you haven't given OneLook a try...
Haha, perhaps. There are just so many sites and apps out there to keep a track of. π€£πποΈ
a deep one my friend, enjoyed
Glad it was enjoyable, thanks ππ»ποΈ
always welcome
Yes, and spellchecker too. There was a 'naughty' that it interpreted. Can't say in public. Blush! lol.
And you'll know my tale of searching for the meaning of Carpe Diem. By the time I found out, there was no day left to seize! Well, I was searching fishing terms for three hours, I thought it was to do with carps. Doh! Could it only happen to me? lol.
Youβre definitely not alone! The frustration, confusion, red faced embarrassment and rabbit holing that goes on!
What a wonderfully clever piece, Rik. The unusual spacing delivers the joke perfectly...while the ending transforms ordinary writerly frustration into something unexpectedly introspective. Brilliant work, my friend! πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
On a slightly Related theme: I always watch the Television with the Subtitles on - Because some dialogue you can't hear , people mumble- and different words come up than was Spoke.
