Her eyes are windows to a hidden past
Confined to a select few
She offers you a smile
even though she yearns for liberation
She feels so foresaken
Surrounded by many, her eyes whisper secrets.
They would tell you, she's too proud
A glimmer of a smile
Tucked along her cheek
She would borrow the thorn of your pain and walk the silent miles in your quiet dusk
Yet a sense of not belonging would remain
Peer into into the eyes of another
Beneath the surface, a quiet wonder waits for patient eyes
That you look past their chosen illusion
The soul that can speak through the eyes can also kiss with a gaze

Nicely said I like your line:
"The soul that can speak through the eyes can also kiss with a gaze"
Well done.
Thank you for the kind words and taking the time to read my words
My pleasure
