Until You Find Me

I Picked Up The Picture          By     Richard Martin   204

I picked up the picture that you threw away,

One that we made dear on our wedding day.

You looked so lovely with a smile on your face,

And you could see in my eye dear, no one could take your place.

You said you didn’t love me, and you couldn’t stay,

And that you’ve grown to hate me more every day.

You took out the picture and threw it on the ground,

You said you’d be happy with the new love you found.

I looked at the picture and at your smiling face,

One so beautiful, God must have graced.

Still, a pain fills my heart as I remember the day,

I picked up the picture that you threw away.

I picked up the picture that you threw away,

One that we made dear on our wedding day.

You looked so lovely with a smile on your face,

And you could see in my eye dear, no one could take your place
