Corrosion

A rusted sky falls where the sun descends with a creak of corrosion. Here iron clouds, painted bleeding orange with their stains, run across the horizon. A watercolor bathed by the sea laps at the canvas edge where sand soaks up all emotion. Salt winds brush their texture over undulating dunes as night swallows the land. A few extended bristles poke spying eyes through the dark surface as earth kisses sky and she opens her starry eyes. Night has disrobed her naked beauty.

              Damn, Soren...what a beautifully painted piece. Everything feels textured and tactile, from that corroded evening through the dunes and into the intimacy of night.
