I’m tired of my old ways
Same thing for all my days
Wake up, go to sleep
Speak, don't make a peep
Is it wrong or right?
Dark or light?
News is loud
People are proud
It all feels the same to me
Break the cycle, I want to be free

When’s the next vacation A?
Soon maybe, although I did take a break from this site for a bit. Not sure if that counts as a vacation
I get tired of poets too… it counts… welcome back love
Feelings well expressed in this poem of rebellion from the norm. Nicely said.
Thank you Soren, it’s appreciated!
You are very welcome
Damn, Allie...I can relate. Sometimes the hardest cages to recognize are the ones built from ordinary days repeated until we suddenly realize we’re desperate for something to change. I love the determination that emerges by the end. Keep reaching for that freedom, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks Tristan I really appreciate your encouragement! Perhaps I should go to the beach
