From sorrow came
That haunting quote
That shrill voice
Upon a quivering note
The eyes of death
To look beyond
The tombs bell
Its voice to send.
From darkness
A lowly sound
Rising frantic
From burial ground
Closer closer
Closer still
With fear mingled
Supernatural chill.
From Heaven or Hell
No answer found
In frozen moment
Approaching shroud
Skeletal fingers
Reaching out
Heart in mouth
Unable to voice.
" NEVERMORE "

Lovely words that set the mood for the most famous poetic word. Well done Norman
