Attention

2781

I have a short attention span

My wife calls it adhd

I believe it's part of the plan

Long on wind

I am blown away

In a gale of words my minds cast adrift

I lose concentration.

Don't be miffed...

Sharp arrows pierce the heart

Endless teaching

Like a fart.

I may love reading war and peace

But adhd has given me blessed relief.

Just to clarify

About the show

It's not your poetry

In case you didn't know.

Hahaha, Valiantstar! 😂 The clarification at the end got me. There’s something wonderfully self-aware about admitting that sometimes the mind simply checks out regardless of what’s being offered. And “endless teaching / like a fart” certainly brought me back to attention! 🤣 Great fun, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

A bit of tongue in cheek humor here that made me smile. Set in good rhyme it shows the good and bad of attentional problems
