I went and bought a ring
I didn’t care how expensive it was
Or how big the diamond is
I just bought her a ring
Showed it to my brother
He called me a little crazy
“It hasn’t even been a year,”
He said exhaustion paired with exasperation.
“You’re moving way too fast.”
But there’s no such thing with her
Ever since I met her
All I imagined was this day
Waking up next to her
Breakfast in bed
Seeing the world
Be the best dad
“what if she’s not the one?”
But she is
“How do you know?”
Because her smile is my favorite view
Her laugh my favorite song
Her voice my favorite poem
And her eyes my heaven all along
I knew it since I met her
Me in a suit and her in white
It has to be her, right?

A poem that takes the view of love at first sight, infatuation and passion wins the race from friendship and devotion. Nicely written
