I’d walk for days and days through the desert's burning sand,

I’d go for days without water for the touch of your hand.

Yes my love for you is strong, and grows stronger with each day,

But if you say you don’t want me, I’d turn and walk away.

 

 I’d do anything you ask dear I do more than my share,

I’d give all I own dear if only that you cared.

You never give an inch dear, while I go the extra mile,

I’d do anything for you, darling, just to see you smile.

 

You know sweetheart it would hurt me, if you don’t want me,

but if that’s the way you feel dear it's best to set me free.

If you don’t want me hanging around, then all you have to say is,

I don’t care for you darling, and I’d turn and walk away.

    Here I hear the longing but the not knowing is the killer. Unrequited love can heal but a love unknown continues to smolder. Well written my friend
