You’ll see me

Micah Watson

You’ll see me:

You’ll see me, in the flowers, in the trees… you’ll see me in the birds flying through the breeze, you’ll see me in the words I used to say, in the era of my favourite time of day.

You’ll see me when you’ll want to the least, you’ll see me when you want peace. You’ll see me through all my favourite things, you’ll see me with whatever life brings.

You’ll see me when you close your eyes, you’ll see me whenever you try to sympathise, you’ll see me when you say you’ve moved on, you see me when your lies carry on.

You’ll see in the wind that carries my name, you’ll see me whenever you finally take the blame.

You’ll see me whenever the maggots finally eat your brain, you’ll see me when life no longer feels the same.

Wow, Micah…this one starts almost tenderly and then turns the knife. Memory becomes less about comfort and more about reckoning, blame, and the impossibility of fully escaping what happened. That darker finish gave it real bite. Excellent piece, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
