The Gothic key

Kaz

Along the darkened shore,

her subdued heart

asked the darkness, why?

Yet the sea did answer–

embedded in the sand,

wrapped in silken lace,

an old gothic key,

perhaps a charm

She reached through moonlight,

and at its touch

her heart did open

to wonders now begun.
