Even in a crowded room of a thousand open hearts, my own soul sits in the dark
Love is touching me, but my soul is freezing
I am ready to love, but my history keeps me locked away
And like a fool I look away while the storm lets loose
I am scared to let someone read the wreckage of my history
I want to be better.
But who will comfort me when I make this leap?
Who will wrap their arms around me on my hardest days?
Can healing and hurting happen at the same time?
Does the weight of yesterday stop me from walking into tomorrow?
Can I cry even when I'm happy?
Can I weather the storm?
Let me ask for the map of the stars before I step into the dark
