Dell o dear

Stay off the ground,

It’s cold and wet and oh so mean

It’s not a place for you,

For you deserve to be free as a bird

Dell o dear

Please keep your feet

In the rivers and high above.

Oh please o dear,

I do not want to see you become so mean,

Unlike the open sun.

Here the meaning of Dell whether a person or a small valley is questionable and adds to the interest. This possible personification through word play is well done and continued in the personification of the sun as well. Lovely
