The Wall by Richard Martin 239
You built such a wall around you
There’s no way I’ll ever get through
And you won’t let me inside, dear
No matter what I say or do
It seems I’ll never get through, dear,
to feel the love that's inside.
I guess it makes you happy,
To see me here, crying outside.
No need for me to keep trying.
You built your wall to stay.
All my dreams have faded.
And the price is too high to pay.
Someday you’ll feel imprisoned
By the wall you built so high.
The wall you built around you
May haunt you till you die,

Walls we all build them some we choose to let through. Nicely written
