Im anchored in the darkness,
where even the stars refuse to shine,
Charon’s ship has left me stranded
somewhere beyond the edge of time.
Its wake has long since disappeared,
a fading scar upon the black,
and I am left without a compass,
without a course to guide me back.
Unable to leave this hollow ocean,
unable to call across the night,
I watch the distant souls around me
drift like lanterns out of sight.
I reach for them, but find only silence
my hands swallowed by the void.
Every voice becomes an echo,
every path becomes destroyed.
So I remain beneath the darkness,
lost between the then and now,
desperate for a different heading,
though I cannot find the how.
Perhaps somewhere beyond this emptiness
there is still a shore for me,
but tonight, I am only drifting,
anchored where no one can see.

There is a loneliness to this write and a feeling of hopelessness. Well done with good rhyme and meter.
