From time to time I get me an invite
The big boys want me to see their big show
They dress up for the grand production
Is it them or me that don’t know
They think they’re all big time and that they’ve been around
Seems they wonder how this hillbilly found his way to town
They want me to talk about what I don’t know
Oh man, I’ve made it to the big show
Cause there ain’t nothing like a big show
Running that fifty-two fake-out just for me
Small minded big shots trying to run a game
I’ve seen better actors and been to bigger cities
Somehow all the clowns are related
Playing games and they don’t know the score.
I swear I think some of them are inbred
Wise County deserves so much more
Grew up watching pro wrestling
Figured out fast that it wasn’t real
Played poker in places that I won’t name
Watched closely when the house would deal
Been places they’re afraid to watch on TV
Convicts have played me for a fool
The Wise County circus don’t know what I know
High school girls could take those clowns to school
You know I’m proud to be an expert
Talking to the big boys at the big show

Nicely rhymed and with good flow this poem tells it like it is where some that think they know it all are nothing more than clowns to those that they take for stupid or naive. Well written
Thank you. The true story is really funny, but I ran out of room. Lol
You ae most welcome
