Unshackled by Fire

Eugene S.

when everything goes up in flames

when you lose all that you ever had

when the shock of it barely stings

and you realize the chains that bound you

the past that drowned you

no longer hold their claim

the gains from days gone by

well, they're just that

gone

memory

and

now you are free

to just be

    Excellent work!

The positive side of total loss. Nicely composed seeing the glass half full. When all is lost there is nothing left to loose. One may do anything with no further threat of loss. Well said
