The Shadow's Pearl

Kaz

Perhaps in slumber,

she stands upon the shore

entranced in wonder,

for her shadow gathers a pale pearl.

I imagine a victorian woman on a windswept seashore, with an ancient lighthouse in the distance, dark clouds gathering as she stoops down to pluck a pearl from the water’s edge.
