Magic Words By Richard Martin 441
I wish I had some magic words to change the way you feel,
I’d use them all today, dear, to make our love real.
I’d say those magic words to turn your heart around,
Then I’d be so happy with the love that I found.
And if there were some magic words to have anything in my life.
My request would be simple: I’d ask that you be my wife.
But I guess there are no magic words, I’ve used all that I know,
None seems to hold any magic for the one I love so.
So with no magic words in my pocket, I can’t change what’s in your heart,
And with no magic words in my pocket, I guess we’ll always be apart.
So, sweetheart if you know those magic words, then tell them to me today
For without those magic words, there’s nothing left to say.
