Today I understood why people close their eyes when they kissed.
Because
When he touched me, I could no longer feel the warmth.
When he stood in front of me, I did not think of how short I am or how much his body shielded mine.
When his lips crushed onto mine, I did not focus on how he positioned his face so that our noses wouldn't bump into each other.
I closed my eyes.
And I lose all my senses. I don’t know where my hands were; or his for that matter.
I could not tell the amount of time passing by.
I could not even tell the weight of his body on mine as he finally lost control.
As I lost control.
But what I did see, even with my eyes closed was all the future kisses I would have with him.
All the dates we would go to.
All the times where he would hold my hands.
The life we could have.
The country side wedding.
The millions of travelling where we would kiss under every sky. Every star. Every building. Every lamp.
People say your life flashed before your eyes when you are about to die.
But I think mine flashed before my eyes when I kissed him back.
