You came as a surprise
At a time when I was broken by her demise.
I was lost, angry, and tired,
And then you came and brought me back to life.
It wasn't an easy journey,
As I was consumed by doubt and worry.
There were days when I was harsh to you,
For that, I am truly sorry.
During the baby blues, the postpartum stage,
I felt alone, depressed, and full of rage.
Thinking about it fills me with guilt,
Somehow, this wasn't the life I intended to build.
I'm still adjusting to this so-called motherhood That consumes all of me.
But know that I will never regret having you,
My son, Eren Jnnouie.
