Restless leg syndrome,
Going nutty in the dome,
All I would do is sleep on the couch at home,
Emotionally nothing was there, more like a drone.
Antipsychotics for 18 months,
Not blaming doctors but the big pharma cunts.
Weaned of aripiprazole and didn't hesitate once.
Now for the long term side effects,
No longer get horny or think much about sex,
Mainstream medication leaves me feeling perplexed,
Trying my best to stay healthy, no more prescription tablets.

Good write SM. I only take tablets if I really need them. All have some side effects, I suppose, though they can have positive uses.
Does E.T. take any medications? Doh! I just had to say that. lol.
I had no choice I got sectioned lol. Haha the obsession.
A poem that speaks to the side effects of medication and how sometimes the side effects can be more dangerous and worse than what they are treating. the marketing and greed of pharmacology. Well written
Thank you, yes many suffer.
You are most welcome
What a raw and honest piece, my friend. You capture the brutal contradiction of receiving treatment only to feel increasingly disconnected from your own body and humanity. Having experienced that relentless leg agitation myself, this landed personally too. Powerful work. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks pal, oh wow really? Glad it resonated.
