When moons eclipse their suns to close the day
And worlds bear witness to such a false good night.
The question must be asked, I hear
you say,
Is this a total end of time, a dimming of the light?
When sun and moon, together, cease to play their role
Celestial rhythms have been ripped
apart;
This chaos spreads and moves from pole to pole.
A new beginning to our World, a brand new start?
In my verse I can chose to simply add a beat,
Call on the echoes of a sound from yesterday
To cause a clumsy slip, create a rhythm incomplete.
Mere I, nor you, could blow out that last golden ray.
But we will see bright day diminish through to night
Then back again as dawn brings home the light.
