Life

2781

Life would be simple

I caught a man today

Who in his simplicity

Had gone astray

Stopped for a chat

This simple bloke

Had lost all his teeth

And no longer smoked

In his simplicity

He has gone astray

And for the error

He must now pay

But hope is eternal

Life can be rough

When at the end

Was it enough?

Yes, smoking can damage your health and eventually make you gumsy.
In saying that, just going to the shops can kill you these days.

That's true.I have a saying- killed by Coles.

A poem that leaves one questioning the issue of paying for what one does. Well done

I guess our debts get paid one way or the other.

          It seems so.

Was a merry old soul was he. Calling for his pipe and such. 👍🏻🕊️

I wondered if you were prophetic

Only when the Comforter descends and gives unction. 🙏🏻🕊️

My friend, this carries a quiet sadness. One brief encounter opens onto an entire unseen history...and the physical detail shows that time has already collected its price. This brought several people to mind. Thought-provoking work,Valiantstar. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

smoking kills, but it also fills gaps and gives solace to a few.
