I visited your resting place
In the park among the trees
The sun was shining bright
As it sneaked through the leaves
I looked at the cross that marked the spot
Where your ashes were spread
I stood there in silence
As tears I started to shed
What that moment held for me
Was a stark realization
Confirming you were gone
But forever an inspiration
Your attitude always positive
You always saw the good
I just hope I was able
To love you as good as I could
I will forever miss you
In everything I do
One thing I'm not looking for
Is another to replace you

A sad loss demonstrated by a marker and the lack of desire to look for someone else
