Please Hold My Hand

Anthony Hanible

Hold my hand

When the night expands

When the weight of the world

Breaks all my plans

Hold my hand

As the dark demands

As the echoes crawl

Through abandoned lands

Hold my hand

Where the fear withstands

Where the pulse of the past

Still reprimands

Hold my hand

While my soul remands

Every bruise I buried

In shifting sands

Hold my hand

Let the warmth command

Every trembling truth

My heart disbands

Hold my hand

And the world unbands

Your touch pulls light

From the shadowlands
