A Black Cloud

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

A black cloud on the horizon,

Rain may come, just surmising.

Need to keep myself together,

Strange times regardless of weather.

Won't be beat down or defeated,

Know the fools who wanted me deleted.

Feel things are coming around the corner right in my gut,

Not being led into temptation by a wicked and dirty slut.

Symbolism is everywhere but I'm not Robert Langdon,

Trust no one and guard your soul is my internal anthem.

Grown weary on this planet and of other people's intentions,

What goes on behind some closed doors, I have my apprehensions.

Good write Robert, erm, Shaun. lol. I'm not Robert Langdon. I'm, e.g. Eddie Taylor, that initialled guy in disguise (geddit? lol).

Oh, I dunno, I might be certain other people too - you know: Eric Turner, Eamon Tipton, Edward Truman, etc. lol.

Where does caution end and paranoia begin is the question and in a world where everyone is out to get you the line becomes a difficult one to see. Well written Shaun

Indeed, need to remain sane I guess lol.

Sanity in an insane world by definition is insane.

Shaun, this carries a lot of grit. There’s weariness, suspicion, and determination all moving together, and that gives the piece real bite. One heck of a write, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️
