The Dark Path

Kurt Philip Behm

You’ll never cross

the maelstrom

if your courage

has been stripped

Or trip the light

fantastic

when you’re crippled

at the hip

You can’t escape

the jungle

when the path

leads further in

Or greet the

new horizon

in a darkness

— mired in sin

(Dreamsleep: August, 2026)

Well Kurt I would agree with the first three but the last one kind of leaves me hopeless. Good write my friend

    Thanks SB.

Kurt, this carries a relentless sense of entrapment. The movement from outward peril into inward captivity reveals the deepest barrier within the traveler…I have known seasons when every attempt at progress only pulled me deeper into myself. Powerful work, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
