The great divide:
Lovers. Separated by great distance.
And although I watch the birds fly away, and the bugs descend underground, the fish glide away, I feel better, knowing they’re together.
Like we will be someday.
Nothing, my darling, nothing will stop me finding you, not being separated by the great divide, not even the edge of the earth oh so wide.
Even if thy corpse lay buried, next to mine, I might just stay alive long enough to see the most damming sight of beauty my eyes had ever laid themselves upon.
Even if I couldn’t give you anything, I’d give you everything I possibly could, because I think of you so much that I know I love you with my heart and not my eyes.
Because nothing, my darling, nothing will stop me finding you, not being separated by the great divide, not even the edge of the earth oh so wide.
Whatever the weather, mi amour, because my love for you never changes.
Not when I’m watching the birds fly away, not when your corpse will be lay, and not when the great divide keeps us away.
Because you,
are for me.
