99 names, ten thousand things, the whole damn enchilada..

Demar Desu

it is all beneath;

and still we try to reach you…

at what cost is it?

    This sounds like a search for earthquake victims but joking aside it may well be metaphoric and we dig for relationships sometimes at a terrible cost.

      Ah finally a poem that went over your head… when are you getting a haircut old man?

      • sorenbarrett

        Doesn't take much to go over my head I'm short at five feet nine and don't swim that well

          You still make me chuckle

            Many laugh at me flailing in water

              I’m coming in to save you! Although I should admit I can’t swim either LOL

              Demar, what a spiritually immense piece in such a small space. The playful title opens into something profound...our relentless pursuit of the divine and everything we sacrifice trying to overcome a distance that may never have existed. Brilliant work, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

                You see me so well…

                The searching/ reaching towards knowing the Divine and the Heavens.. we humans try time and time again to eat the whole jumbo enchilada in one bite.. but we tend to forget that we are but ants in the face of it.. with ant sized mouths

                  Shut up and kiss me
