Oblivion

Rhan Sterling Henry

The waters of Lethe roil in and out
To cast its fury all about
A castaway upon the strand
Dreams of far off ancient lands
Every memory flung alight
Countless dirges in their flight
The cost is naught, only the will
Which denigrates beneath the swill
And I awash within that grip
Have only but to take a sip
To pass beyond these moon lit shores
To wake and dream no more

Rhan a lovely write of a dreamlike state that carries the reader to another dimension and time so well set in myth and with great meter is hypnotic in nature a fave my friend
