Things

A picture. of someone leaving

their bags in their hands

and a cab waiting too.

It doesn’t matter if it’s me or you.

An ad, for a 2br, 3b, H/AC

Same address as above

Open House Sat./Sun 11-3

Bring your own love.

A gold ring. for sale, 22ct., barely worn

Call the number below

If no one answers

233-789-4445  It's probably been sold

A phone call, from someone in tears

thinking they made a mistake.

Too late, the house is sold and my ring too.

Don’t worry, those are material things.

What truly matters is me and you.

Last minute regrets and an attempt to turn things around. Love is worth more than material things. Well done

Thanks, SB. Indeed, worth more than material things. Your comments nailed it.

        My pleasure

A catalogue of hasty decisions and ultimate reconciliation. I found this heart warming with the rider that there are far too many folks living on the streets...

        • MendedFences27

Thanks, DD. Hasty decisions sometimes cause more pain than well-thought-through considerations. As for people on the streets, that's a whole other social problem. Thanks for your comments.

Unless they do stay together and pool resources they could well transfer to the other social problem.
Thanks for the mini debate, Phil.👍

Yes dear Phil, even when all those things are done it's still never too late, Material stuff can be refound 🌹

            • MendedFences27

Thank you, Teddy. Yes, we all know it's a material world and we should pay more attention to emotional well-being. but sometimes those emotions are the cause for material chaos. Needless to say, love conquers all.
Thank you again for your comments, always appreciated.

This is a fine example of some thing/s that are worth far more than the sum total of those parts that make em up .. a huge thumbs up to the master of subliminal messaging & this poetic genre .. Neville 👍

              • MendedFences27

Thanks, Neville. Which is worse, a break-in or a broken heart? I guess that's the question I'm asking in this. We all have our own personal answer. Thanks for the read and the comments.

It's like being at the top of the mountain and slowly rolling down to the bottom.
Hopefully the climb back up is a good one.

                • MendedFences27

                  Thanks, Paul. Amen to that.
