What price a baby's smile
How much to stop a tear
Would you turn back a sun dial
Make time disappear
If you could plant a kiss in a field of sorrow
Then watered with an embrace
Would it sprout into bliss from a ray of sun you borrow
To paint a smile on a child's face

An enchanting write
Thank you Norman your support is most valued
most welcome
Beautiful and tender. The imagery of planting a kiss in sorrow and nurturing it with an embrace is especially powerful—a touching reflection on love, innocence, and the lengths we go to protect a child’s smile.
Thank you my good friend for the review and most generous words of support they are deeply valued
You are welcome. Your words are deeply appreciated, and it is always a pleasure to read your beautiful work. Wishing you continued inspiration and success.
",paint a smile on a child's face"
I like that.
I'm going to try and do that today, while my children are still children.
What a wonderful thing you have inspired!
Thanks
Thank you so much my friend if I could do nothing more in life than inspire someone to put a smile on a child it would be well worth living
Indeed.
I'm glad you have woods to walk in. I'll think of you as I walk in mine with my kids.
I live in the north west of Glasgow, but I can see the woods from the back of my house, only 5hree minites walk away and stretching miles to the gentle hills to the north, and east and west along the river
Almost as beautiful as my children.
I couldn't reply on the other thread, there must be a limit.
Have a great day
Sounds most beautiful and you have a great day as well
It feels like even in the non-child’s world this would still applies. Pardon the randomness of this response, friend🙏🏻🕊️
No pardon needed my friend for that was the intent not random at all. Thanks so much for the read my brother poet it is a pleasure to be associated with one like you
Most welcome Soren. 🕊️👍🏻
Sublimely rendered on the wettest day of 2026 so far .. Still, it put a smile on this old fella's face that'll likely last at least until tea time .. Neville
Thanks my friend your reviews are always most anticipated and valued. Good to see you back and hope to hear more.
This speaks directly to what I value most, Soren. A small act of love can reach places that wealth and power never will. Beautifully expressed, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛

My teddy was a child-eater ...

One of the finest sounds to me is a Child laughing. And so happy at play.
A lovely Poem.
Thank you Kevin for your review and kind words they are most valued my friend
I wish I could find the at least half full glass that you seem to possess. This inquiry is innocent, edging toward naive. Thats just me though. Nice work as usual.
Thanks Dan all things possess a combination of good and bad why not choose the good. I am a selfish guy and would rather be happy than sad and sharing means getting back in return. I appreciate your review and comment my friend
My dear sorrenbarret this is wonderful. In imagery and emotion. 🌹
