There was once a council boy, who donned a balaclava,
who played a dirty trendy game: unwarranted palaver,
every single move he made, was exciting risk,
a tacky thieving tearaway, who loved to stop and frisk,
then down a gloom grim gitty, him and friends, did trod,
to spray their “street wise wisdom” on unlucky sod,
but then; that’s when it happened, impatience cancelled pride,
for outcast man, brought forth their end, with Colt.45!

- Comment from author about the poem: I know this is very similar to the last one, but I have to re-submitt another. A short sad poetic story, about particular youths and their antics, whilst wearing a particular item of clothing, and seeing as they've become a rising nuisance in the UK yet again, this little poetic yarn goes out to those "cool kid knights" of the street, who enjoy speeding on their e-bike steeds; and are so very "brave" in hiding their shame behind a woollen helmet. This also goes out to those who have needlessly lost their lives in "service" of "just wars" in history, from the Crimean War, to modern day "necessary" religious conflicts. I hope that you take something from this, and if you can, enjoy it, and as always, let us become better, and please do stay safe in the madness everyone!

A fun read that ends with the final line. Well done
Thanks for the read and for your short and sweet comment sorenbarrett, it is very much appreciated, and I am glad that you enjoyed reading this, despite the sad content within.
I hope that all is well.
It is my pleasure
Well written. Your poem explores themes of youthful rebellion, the consequences of reckless behavior, and the harsh realities of street life. I like how you paint a vivid picture of a group of young individuals who engage in petty crime and vandalism, only to meet a violent end when they confront a more dangerous figure.
Thanks for the read, and for your very kind, and even if I do say so myself, pertinently, friendly words, Friendship, they are very much appreciated.
I am glad that you have enjoyed, and have got the gyst of the story, and your summary has hit the nail on the head, of which, I consider myself to be very much welcomed, by a scholar and student of poetry.
Thanks again, and I hope that all is well.
You're so welcome, my friend. Keep writing.
Hi Auburn,
I really enjoyed this write. It sums up the mentality of those idiots perfectly. I'm from the North East, not too far from where these feral louts have been burning cars out. I think some "pure cold rage" should be called for.

Thanks for the read and for your pleasantly defiant words of encouragement Syd, they are very much appreciated.
In my opinion, an improper quantitiy; has to be dealt with, and if some written and verbal, PURE COLD RAGE, can be the start of such a thing, then so be it celebrated!
Thanks again, I hope that the cars can no longer burn, and I hope that all is well.
And some of these Kids move at such a Speed.
No Safety Helmet either.
Well written. 👍
Thanks for the read, for your praise, and for your very pertinent words; that mirror my disappointment in this matter Kevin, they are very much appreciated.
If these little princes wish to throw caution to the wind, then them let them do it, as, to every nonchalant boy racer, who enjoys their wheel spins, I enjoy very much reading their obituaries!
Thanks again, and I hope that all is well.
My Pleasure. Best wishes.👍
