A genie with no wish to grant
His only flower a nuclear plant
A crawling brown nosed sycophant
She bled his heart bone dry
A lifetimes layers were slowly peeled
His mysteries had been revealed
A love sick wound is stitched and healed
She bled his heart bone dry
Love conquers all but chalks up kills
Mutates emotions as it fills
It's victims with a million pills
She bled his heart bone dry
Obsessed by were it all went wrong
The birds all sing her favourite song
Cries tears of anguish all night long
She bled his heart bone dry
He prays one day to slowly find
A love that's of the lasting kind
She'll know his body soul and mind
His heart will once more fly

My pleasure Peto
Lovely written.. The imagery you painted of a genie and a nuclear plant, to me, suggests a sense of lost potential and the destructive nature of love. Your poem seems to reflect on the complexities of love, the pain of heartbreak, and the hope for healing and lasting companionship.
You summed it up perfectly friendship
I truly appreciate it
Inspiring when someone gets it bang on
Many thanks
Hi peto,
There's plenty of heartbreak running through this piece but with some wonderfully strange lines along the way. Great rhyming sequence as always.
