Face to face

William Hromada

Two men, same face,
same quiet breath.

One holds a gardengrown through thorns, roses lit from inside.

One holds a winter, sharp and clear,a mind like glass,a storm in blue.

They do not turn away.

One says feel.

One says think.

Both say stay alive.
