I wasn’t looking for you when you found me.
I wasn’t ready to feel anything this deeply.
I’d gotten good at surviving on my own.
Good at calling loneliness “peace.”
Then you smiled at me, and something cracked.
And suddenly, breathing didn’t feel so fucking heavy.
I don’t know when you became my safe place.
Maybe somewhere between the stupid jokes and late nights.
Maybe when your hand found mine without hesitation.
Maybe when I realized I was smiling for no reason.
I kept waiting for happiness to ask for a price.
But you just stayed, and somehow that was enough.
Now I’m terrified because I actually have something to lose.
I catch myself imagining mornings with you.
I let myself want things I buried years ago.
And sometimes I cry because I never thought I’d get here.
I thought love was something meant for everyone but me.
Then you appeared—and proved me fucking wrong.
