Is the threat of nuclear war
Knocking at our front door?
Will we see the button pushed
As all of humanity gets squished?
Or can common sense prevail
So the sirens never wail?
Or, will the war mongers get their way
To see it all destroyed one day

A tough question well put. I believe it may happen.
Gave me a flashback to the sixties. Good question, good write.
Exactly what was on my mind when I wrote it. I’m referring to the cuban missile crisis. I was well aware how close we were to using nuclear weapons. Thanks for reading. Comment much appreciated.
