Unless
I join you
in your decadence
we have no real connection
As Kirouac
you mirror
and Burroughs
you acclaim
In self
abuse
you wander
in dread of every mirror
True dilettante
of life’s betrayal
in squalor
— where you hide

So many people like this have I known. Well written Kurt a fave
Too many, thanks.
My pleasure Kurt
What a fierce piece, Kurt. The literary posturing cannot conceal a person fleeing from themselves, while the speaker sees through the invitation to descend with them...sharp, unsparing, and deeply affecting. Excellent write, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks again, TR. It was prompted by Kerouac's BIG SUR.
