I have been told , time and again,
" Pray to God, get close to him",
" Pray to God and he will save you",
The same god who couldn't save children in war , couldn't stop floods and disaster,
Will save me .
But only if I pray a little longer,
Surely .
Blind faith is a dangerous thing,
How do you possibly sit and believe,
That there's a plan for you?
That you are guarded by a higher entity? Eternally?
For someone who's love is supposed to be unconditional and eternal,
God sure demands alot , doesn't he ?
Temples and prayers,
And sinners and repenting ,
And his grand forgiveness.
Did God make man ?
Or did man make god ?
Is it truly a higher entity,
Or is it something made up to help you cope?
To help you put blame and hope and turn a blind eye to the horror.
War and violence in the name of God,
Something supposedly powerful and pure,
But sure,
Keep believing and keep chanting and preaching,
Is it religion or a modernised cult ?

the advantage of hav!ng a whole bunch of gods is that they spend their time bickering among themselves and forget about us !
Funny how we have designed our God with human attributes of love, anger, violence and sadness. If he were a father human services would take his children away. Good write
