A Tearful Prayer Of Thanks

Joseph M Marion

When words grow small and shadows fall,

You stand above it all.

O Lord, my God, my strength, my song,

In You my heart belongs.

Through weary nights and breaking dawns,

Through valleys deep and hard-pressed storms,

Your mercy held me, soft and near,

And dried the wells of every tear.

I thank You for Your faithful hand,

For dreams I could not understand,

For grace that found me where I lay,

And lifted me to brighter days.

You are the breath within my soul,

The One who makes the wounded whole.

My refuge, peace, my endless light,

My morning star, my guiding sight.

So let my tears become a praise,

A hymn of love through all my days.

For every breath, for all I see,

I give my heart, O Lord, to Thee.

Thank you grand Dad
