i love you in ways

that stretch beyond the horizon

where shadows touch light softly

and whispers bloom into worlds

i love you like the quiet ache

of morning yearning for the sun

like the moon cradles the ocean's sigh

and every star stitches the night

i love you with the breath

that escapes unnoticed between words

with the trembling hands

of someone who has nearly let go

i love you gently and wildly all at once

as rain loves the thirsty earth

dancing in chaos, rooting in steadiness

becoming something more than itself

i love you until my soul bursts

until my ribs bow like open windows

and the air inside me screams your name

even as life turns silent again

i love you–endlessly, weightlessly, fiercely

as if love was the only thing

i was ever meant to do.
