Spoken, Broken, No More Hoping

mylastwrites

Tender words were always spoken

Back before hearts were broken

Too late we have awoken

No more time left for hoping

Please don't apologize

Or try to minimize

All we do is criticize

To see, one needs open eyes

I know that we were young

But a bell can't be un-rung

We'll never be totally done

Because now we share a son

So this is our goodbye

Saving us ain't worth the try

I think now its time to fly

Don't put on a show and cry

Two hearts that have grown cold

In a life to still be told

You see somewhere we lost control

We're just two young and confused souls
