PARKINSON.
Parkinson. You’re such an evil guy.
You refuse to let me live and you refuse to let me die.
Take from me the life I loved so much.
Make me feel irrelevant, detached and out of touch.
I stutter and I stammer and I shake.
What more do you want from me?
What more will you take?
It’s called the shaking palsy.
You stand out in a crowd. You make me stand alone.
Silent, vulnerable and proud.
Parkinson. You challenge me to fight.
Deprive me of my sleep, torment me through the night.
Parkinson. You like to see me crawl.
You like to watch me stumble, you love to see me fall.
You give me pain, and then you make me sweat.
But Parkinson, you’ll learn that I’m not beaten yet.
You see me weak and broken on the floor.
When you turn your back on me, I will rise once more.
One day you’re going to sentence me to death.
I’ll fight you and I’ll curse you until my final breath
My legs are bent, my shoulders hunched, and weak.
I cannot get the words out when I try to speak.
You hit me with a sucker punch, then put me on the floor.
But every time you knock me down, you’ll see me rise once more.
To rise once more and look you in the eye.
If only just to tell you that I’ll hate you till I die.
When you’ve taken all that I can give.
When I crave mortality, you sentence me to live.
Frail and broken, brave and scared and bold.
You’ll take my mind and body but you’ll never claim my soul.
