No metaphor, no unusual feeling
A lot of questions with my heartbeat beating
I don't really know what to think
But you pop out, and my mind starts thinking
And it wasn't the best thought, to be honest
I don't think you would've liked it
But it's not the first, it won't be the last
I was hurt, and time doesn't last
I really am speechless
With my thoughts
And I don't have a feeling on the spot
Or repetitive feelings
But I see red and blue
And read the word underway
And I find thoughts unlocking each passing day
But
I have no metaphor for this one
And no unusual feelings
Just a pen and paper
Collecting my tears
And reminders of you in my view
With every waking

- Comment from author about the poem: I've been in a writing slump because I've been busy and haven't had a chance to write. I've been doing some free writes to open my ears a bit and understand some things to write about. It sounds weird, but the process never fails. I hope you find something in this weird free write.
