Mosquito larvae in my ribs

StormInAteacup13

They feed and fester
In the craters of my ribs
Searching for any last scrap
Of the heart
They've already stolen
The mosquito larvae in my ribs
Soon turn to my lungs
Until i can no longer
Breath deep or shallow
Or quickly or slowly
I can no longer breath
The mosquito larvae in my ribs
Will soon steal everything
They will plunder everything
Until i am just a skeleton
Waiting for these mosquito larvae in my ribs
To bloom into full fledged thieves
Taking from others
What they took from me
Then and only then
Will i be allowed to rest
All i want
Is to rest

  • Comment from author about the poem: I wrote this yesterday and just finished editing! I love this poem so much, so i hope you do too. Its about someone taking everything from you and then moving on and all you want is then out if your life ("all i want/ is to rest") but you can't do this until they chose to leave and move onto someone new.
