I am but a meager fish in this world, a sardine lost at sea. For a long time I’ve looked, my own search party for me.
Everything was so loud, so wrong for so long. It finally got quiet in the realization of me. I was never lost or drifting away. I was actively swimming, consciously fleeing upstream.
Bonded to hardships by my own hand, caught in a net thrown by me.
Today I swim freely with that net trailing behind, forever stuck with me.
