The Only Way I Know

Anthony Hanible

I move in a split light glow

Half saint

Half shadow

That Hanible undertow

The only way I know

I walk where wild winds blow

Where quiet men don’t go

Where truth cuts low and slow

And carves me head to toe

Anthony keeps it mellow

Soft heart

Warm yellow

But Hanible’s that fellow

Who flips calm into a bellow

I stitch what others throw

I rise from every low

I turn my scars to show

The map of how I grow

Anthony prays for flow

For peace to overflow

Hanible wants the throe

The chaos

The tableau

Two names in one torso

Locked tight like yes and no

I walk with both in tow

The only way I know
