End of The Line

clecio

My train stops here, Destiny Junction.

Held in a beam, frozen for this moment.

Now there is no looking back or forwards.

There is simply this. An existence complete.

I see me. I'm getting off the train.

At rest a string of carriages with blinds

drawn.

Each compartment is a closed

room;

There is just this, a stopped train

waiting.

Only I get back on the train.

It leaves the station unobtrusively, moving again.

Inexorably taking me to journey’s

end.

Miles more rolling track and then

the final bend.

‘Your train will terminate at this point.’

And so is life with its closed compartments with blinds drawn and the end of the line. Well done Clecio
