Fire within

Caveman

I’ve built several lives brick by brick

Spent many hours feeding a self destructive tick.

There is an ever lit fire within

lying dormant, waiting to burn and

I LOVE THE HEAT.

For chaos it craves, obliteration it brings.
When time is perfectly wrong and stars misaligned

This force, it compels and I nearly go blind.
But I choose to see, fully aware that tomorrow the despair awaits me.

That is no concern, for tonight I truly have no cares.

My ears crave the loudest bangs.
My hands miss being battered.
My eyes fill with tears and the glass, it must be shattered.

Tonight I dance in the fire and sing my screams

Brick by brick I tear it all down, ripped seam from seam.

The sun rises and reason sets back in

my house in shambles

Ive done it again.

This is a story still being written, I do not know how it will end. There is no fire left but the embers, they still burn within.
